MassMutual Grant Announced
Lyman & Merrie Wood Museum of Springfield History

The Springfield Museums are pleased to announce a $150,000 Capital Campaign grant from MassMutual Financial Group for the new Museum of Springfield History.
Construction of the new museum is underway in the former Verizon office building on Edwards Street, adjacent to the Springfield Museums' Quadrangle.
The grant, payable over three years, brings the total raised to date for the $7.5 million project to $4.5 million.
"MassMutual's donation will help us tell the important story of Springfield's place in history," said Springfield Museums President, Joseph Carvalho. "We're very grateful for their generous support."
