March Museums à la Carte Programs

The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in March. Museums à la Carte programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
The New Novel by Winslow Homer
March 2: Last of the Donkey Pilgrims; by Kevin O'Hara, author.
March 9: "The New Novel" Inspires a Children's Novelist: Winslow Homer as a Subject of Historical Fiction; Anna Kirwan, young adult author.
March 16: Emerald Road; a Celtic dance performance by Small Planet Dancers.
March 23: Creating a Positive Self-Portrait: Self Esteem and the Motivation of Art; Don Smith, artist.
March 30: The Firebird; Maestro Kevin Rhodes, music director and conductor, Springfield Symphony Orchestra.
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; dessert and beverage are provided.
