Sheffield, Massachusetts artist, Ricky Bernstein tells stories in visual format bringing his self-created comic book imagery to life through vibrantly colorful and emotionally engaging installations. His energetic, representational, oversized cartoon graphics draw visitors into familiar domestic scenes, past and present, in a humorous way. Using a mélange of materials, Ricky composes narrative collage-style wall reliefs with a distinct pop-art flavor. Common stories take on larger-than-life proportion, inviting viewers to witness a compelling slice of Americana as if in a still-life sitcom.
