Image for Daniel in the Lion's Den

Daniel in the Lion's Den

Daniel, a wise and powerful figure was envied by his peers who wanted him dead. They could not find a reason to punish him so they devised a law forbidding people to pray to their God. When Daniel broke the law he was sent to his death in the Lion’s den. Daniel spent the night in the den, which was sealed with a stone, and was not harmed. “The Lord sent his angel to stand beside me, and the lions have left me untouched,” he said.
