Currier & Ives often created prints that highlighted the fashion trends of beautiful, affluent women. These images contained visual information that was similar to modern day fashion magazines. Fifth Avenue Belle shows a woman dressed for an outing, adorned with a feathered hat and jeweled embellisment.
