2:00 pm
Michele & Donald D'Amour Museum of Fine ArtsArtist Lecture
A renowned glass artist, Josh Simpson has found inspiration in NASA images of Earth and other celestial phenomenon. He is perhaps best known for his planets: luminous glass spheres encasing kaleidoscopic landscapes, underwater scenes and vistas of outer space that reflect the Earth's vastness and complexity. During this talk, Simpson will provide insights into his work, tracing the influences that have shaped his vision since his early experimentations with glass blowing.
