PT Boat Exhibit Extended

The special exhibition The Mosquito Fleet: World War II PT Boats, on view at the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum, has been extended through June 29. (The original closing date was Feb. 24.)
PT boats were shallow draft wooden boats designed to launch torpedoes in any kind of weather. PT boat squadrons were nicknamed "The Mosquito Fleet."
The exhibit is a collection of World War II memorabilia on loan from Agawam resident Frank J. Andruss, Sr. It includes uniforms, medals, photographs, and soldiers' souvenirs.
