F29. Portrait Drawing
Working from a photo reference of your choice (you learn to take a great photo in the first class) learn to draw the image to perfection from start to finish. Lessons include portrait set-up, anatomy (head/face, eyes, nose, mouth, ears), starting a drawing, the structure, and shading techniques. Supply list provided.
Drawing both in line and tonal values, we will analyze the beauty of tonal drawing, from demonstrations of composition and perspective through a step-by-step process to complete the image, noting every subtle curve, in both the outline and values. Homework and keeping a sketchbook encouraged. Supply list provided.
