S61. Creating Dramatic Atmosphere & Light in Pastel Landscape Painting

Explore how to correspond the subject of landscape with contemporary artistic concerns. Emphasis is on establishing and organizing light effect, and achieving balanced color and atmosphere to lend depth, strength and beauty to your landscape paintings. Led by a nationally recognized master pastelist, this workshop will include demonstrations and discussion, and an instructor-led museum tour. Concepts of color, design, and techniques will be presented and demonstrated along with critiques, at-easel assistance, and lots of painting time. All levels are welcome. Supply list provided.

Course Withdrawal Policy: If you withdraw from a class one week before the first session, you will receive a full refund (less a $15 registration fee). If you withdraw 6 days to 24 hours before your first class, you are still entitled to a 50 percent refund (less the $15 registration fee). After that time, no refunds or credits will be issued.
