S40. Food For Thought
Examine the museum's still lifes featuring luscious paintings of fruit, vegetables, poultry and glasses of wine and beer and consider what they tell us about food and what the artists wanted to convey. Claire Hopley will discuss the ways food was cooked and served and conclude by sampling 3-4 dishes inspired by the featured paintings. There will be recipe handouts and signed copies of Claire’s cookbooks for purchase.
