General Museum News
January 22, 2014
On Thursday, February 6 from 5-8 pm, the Springfield Museums will present their next Culture & Cocktails event of the season, Indulgence: An Evening of Wine of Chocolate. The event will take place at the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum, and is sponsored by Six Point Creative Works and United Personnel, Inc.
This particular event has become an annual favorite, as the admission includes the chance to sample a variety of wines provide by Horizon Beverages. Two wine experts from Horizon will be on hand to answer questions and offer insights on the evening’s offerings. Chocolate samples from Hebert Candies are also included in the cost of admission.
Due to the popularity of the event in the past, only a limited number of tickets are available. Tickets are $10, and may be purchased by visiting springfieldmuseums.org. Although admission is free for Springfield Museum members, they should still follow the above instructions to reserve their tickets well in advance.
The Ross Novgrad Jazz Trio will provide jazz music for the event, with a cash bar from Elegant Affairs Catering. Attendees can also enjoy the exhibits at the “George Walter,” including the newly re-installed American Paintings Salon and Art of the Islamic World Gallery.
The event is for people ages 21 and up. Attendees should enter using the Museums’ Welcome Center. Free, secure onsite parking is available. For additional information about Culture & Cocktails, call 413.263.6800, ext. 379.
