Come One & All, Come Old & New, Dr. Seuss is 1-0-2!

The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Saturday, March 4, with a birthday bash for Dr. Seuss. Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in Springfield on March 2, 1904.

Activities are free with museum admission. Weekend Family Fun programs are sponsored by T.D. Banknorth.

Springfield Science Museum
• 11:30 a.m. - Celebrate Read Across America with Ronald McDonald.
• Noon-3:30 p.m. - Face painting, Dr. Seuss crafts, make "Oobleck," and meet roaming costumed characters.
• 1:30 p.m. - Performance by the Gerena School Seuss Singers.

Museum of Fine Arts
• 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. - Dr. Seuss Birthday Cake Contest and raffle.
• 12:30 & 2:30 p.m. - Toe Jam Puppet Band Variety Show.

Connecticut Valley Historical Museum
•Hourly, beginning at 11:15 a.m. - Readings of Dr. Seuss books.
