Visitors to the Springfield Museums will see two famous works of art come to life this summer. Presented by Ten31 Productions, actors will portray the subjects of well-known paintings in these living art installations. The performances are free with the price of admission to the museums.

The following presentations are scheduled:

  • July 15: The Scream by artist Edvard Munch, 10:30 am-12:30 pm
  • August 5: Three Musicians by artist Pablo Picasso, 10:30 am-12:30 pm

Ten31 Productions got its start when its founders performed as two gargoyles at Waterfire, a popular evening event along the Providence River in Rhode Island. Since then they have produced living installations based on imagery ranging from ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman periods to modern art movements.
