The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in June. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
June 7 - Marquetry, Historic Objects and Personal Work; Silas Kopf, furniture maker.
June 14 - How I Got Here: The Art of Collecting Appliances and Smashing Glass; Mo Ringey, assemblage artist.
June 21 - Does What You Eat Influence Your Survival? A Look at Ice Age Mammal Extinction; Gina M. Semprebon Ph.D., professor of biology; Chair, Science and Mathematics Department, Bay Path College.
June 28 - The Birds of Australia; Sonya Vickers, Springfield Naturalists Club.
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; cookies and coffee are provided.
