Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration

The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Saturday, March 3, with a birthday bash for Dr. Seuss. Theodor Seuss Geisel was born in Springfield on March 2, 1904.
Weekend Family Fun programs are sponsored by T.D. Banknorth. Activities are free with museum admission.
11 a.m. - Celebrate Read Across America with Ronald McDonald.
11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. - Dr. Seuss Birthday Cake Contest and raffle. Local bakeries will donate imaginatively decorated cakes. Vote for your favorite and enter to win one.
Hourly, beginning at 11:15 a.m. - Readings of Dr. Seuss books
11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. – Make a Cat-in-the-Hat mobile.
Noon & 2 p.m. – Join actress Andrea Wright of Books Alive for interactive interpretations of Dr. Seuss classics.
1 p.m. - Performance by the Gerena School Seuss Singers.
