The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in January. The programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
Jan. 4 - Splendors of the Winter Sky; Richard Sanderson, curator of physical science, Springfield Science Museum.
Jan. 11 - William Cullen Bryant: Poet, Activist and Artist's Muse; Ellice Gonzalez, historic site administrator, William Cullen Bryant Homestead.
Jan. 18 - The Paradise Garden: Persian and Islamic Landscapes; Marie Stella, landscape historian and designer.
Jan. 25 - The Gates of the Realms of Gold: Edith Wharton's Library and its Journey Back to the Mount; David Dashiell, program director, The Mount Estate and Gardens.
Admission to Museums à la Carte is $4 ($2 for members of the Springfield Museums). The programs are sponsored by Big Y World Class Market. Visitors are invited to bring lunch to enjoy during the program; cookies and coffee are provided.
