The Springfield Museums' Weekend Family Fun series will continue on Saturday, October 28, with "Tricks and Treats: A Magical Halloween." Children are invited to wear their Halloween costume and go from museum to museum for special treats. Activities will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are free with museum admission. Weekend Family Fun programs are sponsored by TD Banknorth.

Magic performances:

See some amazing magic tricks performed by Jonas Toutant as he roams the galleries, 12:30-1:30 p.m., all Museums.
Watch Jonas present an interactive magic show for the whole family, 1:30-2:15 p.m., Museum of Fine Arts
Jonas will make balloon sculptures for visitors, 2:30-3:30 p.m., Museum of Fine Arts.

Ongoing activities:

Find creatures of the night with a Halloween scavenger hunt, 11 a.m-4 p.m., all Museums.
Listen to a reading of Dr. Seuss' "What was I Scared Of?" from The Sneetches and Other Stories, 11:10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Connecticut Valley Historical Museum.
Decorate trick or treat bags, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Science Museum.
Learn what owls eat by dissecting an owl pellet, 1:30-3:45 p.m., Science Museum.
