Famous Fakes Exhibit to Debut in Springfield

Next month, a provocative new exhibit about art forgery will have its international debut at the Springfield Museums. Intent to Deceive: Fakes and Forgeries in the Art World will open on January 21 at the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts, and will be on display through April 27, 2014. New Currier & Ives Exhibit Opens at D'Amour Museum of Fine Arts

This month, the Springfield Museums unveiled a new exhibit of Currier & Ives prints from the collection of the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts. The display, titled The Connoisseurship of Currier & Ives, is on view through June 15, 2014. The Museum is home to one of the largest permanent collections of Currier & Ives prints.
