Museums Plan April Vacation Week Activities

"Swamp Things" will be the theme of April school vacation week activities at the Springfield Museums. The museums will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21. (Science Museum open until 5 p.m.) Activities are free with the price of admission to the Museums unless noted.
April Museums à la Carte Programs

The Springfield Museums at the Quadrangle will present the following Museums à la Carte programs in April. Museums à la Carte programs are held on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Museum of Fine Arts.
Stars Over Springfield at the Springfield Science Museum

Members of the Springfield Stars Club will set up telescopes for public sky-gazing on the Springfield Museums' Quadrangle on Friday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m.

The Currier & Ives lecture series at the Museum of Fine Arts will continue on
April 2 at 2 p.m. with Currier & Ives: Constructing What It Meant to Be American. The talk will be presented by Barry O'Connell, professor of English at Amherst College.
