Tour the New York State Capitol building, a marvel of late 19th-century architectural grandeur. Then, visit the Albany Institute of History & Art’s renowned permanent collection and see the special exhibit, Mystery of the Albany Mummies, featuring two Ancient Egyptian mummies and their coffins-one dating from the 21st Dynasty and the other from the Ptolemaic Period. Major museum loans from around the globe provide artifacts related to the art and daily life of these particular mummies. A group lunch in downtown Albany is included.
