Painting & Barging in France with David Dunlop
Group Leader: David Dunlop
Join David Dunlop, landscape painter and host of the national PBS television series “Landscapes Through Time” for a week of plein air painting in the Barbizon and Fontainebleau countryside of France. From the comfort and convenience of the lovely barge The Fleur, we will follow in the footsteps of the early plein air artists painting in the same locations where they lived, painted and studied. Beginning in Paris, our 20 passenger barge will travel to the towns in and around Barbizon and the Fontainebleau Forest. In the countryside, each day begins with a painting demonstration reinforced with one-on-one instruction with David in the medium of your choice – oil, acrylic, pastel or watercolor. Throughout the tour, enjoy engaging art history lectures and discussions.
