14. Introduction to Genealogy with an Irish Twist

Trace your Irish immigrant ancestors who lived in Western Massachusetts during 1840-1900. Instructor O’Connor recently completed a ground-breaking index to Catholic marriages for the four western counties from 1842-1870, as well as a new database containing more than 25,000 entries on Irish families of Springfield from 1850-1870. Learn how to use the vast resources of the History Library, as well as genealogy computer programs and websites. Supplies: Any genealogical information that you already have plus a notebook and pencils – no pens please.
