School Programs
Preschool Day - April 25, 2013
Our newly restructured preschool programs are especially designed for children ages 3 and up. Kindergarten groups are also welcome.
Programs are 30 minutes in duration and begin at 9:30 am.

Art Museum and Me
An introduction to a very special kind of place—an art museum. Using the alphabet as their guide, students will explore the D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts and make a piece of art to take home.
Insect Investigations
What exactly is an insect? After this program, your students will now that answer and more. Using museum exhibits, props, and interactive play, students will explore the life cycle of a honey bee.
Fun with Dr. Seuss
Learn about Dr. Seuss’s childhood in Springfield, make a paper Cat-in-the-Hat hat to bring home, play with Dr. Seuss games, puzzles, and puppets and listen to one of his stories.
Live Animal Demonstration
Join us in the Solutia Live Animal Center and meet one of our incredible critters. Will it be a snake, turtle, or a Madagascar hissing cockroach? Learn about adaptations, habitats, and more!
Magic Sky Planetarium Show
Meet Mother Earth, take off in a rocket ship, visit the moon, and float in space in this fun filled introduction to the wonders of our neighborhood in space.

Take a tour on your own of the Springfield Science Museum’s extensive galleries.
