A special day just for homeschoolers! Tour the Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts and the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum. All ages welcome; most appropriate for ages 8+.
$9 per person; includes special exhibit and program fees. Registration is REQUIRED by June 10.

A Brush with Art, 10-11 AM
Explore four centuries of art including Medieval, 18th century, 20th century, and Contemporary art through a variety of hands-on games and activities. (DMFA)
Art of the Far East, 11 AM-NOON
Practice tai chi, try on authentic Japanese kimono, learn about ancient Samurai, and practice the art of origami. (George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum)
Lunch Break, NOON-1 PM
Enjoy freshly-made sandwiches, salads, paninis and more at our new Blake House Café (or bring a brown bag lunch). Museum staff will also be on hand to answer any programming questions.
Seek & Sketch, 1-2 PM
Learn about different types of paintings represented in the museum, find examples in our galleries, and create a masterpiece of your own to take home. (DMFA)
Museum Exploration, 2-5 PM
Tour our world-class museums and the special exhibition Amazing Butterflies on your own.
About Amazing Butterflies
Together, families will explore this interactive maze and learn the surprising challenges butterflies face every day. Embark on a challenging journey teeming with friends and foes revealing the unusual relationship between caterpillars, butterflies and their natural surroundings. Adventure through the leaves, move like a caterpillar, discover an ant that reaps the reward of an unusual friendship, then transform into a butterfly and take flight! Plus, meet these beautiful creatures in our live Butterfly House.
