School Vacation: Puppet Festival

SPECIAL PERFORMANCES & DEMONSTRATIONS
VT PuppeTree performs Swimmy and The Swimmer, 1 pm
Based on the picture book of the same name by Leo Lionni, Swimmy tells the story of the sole survivor of a school of fish swallowed by a tuna and his plan to camouflage himself and his new companions. The Swimmer is an original shadow puppet show that answers the question “What can one little girl do to clean up her river?” Seating is limited to 100.
Live Animal Demonstration, 10:30 am-noon
Get up close and personal with critters that call the Museum's Solutia Live Animal Center home.
WoW Express, 11 am-3 pm
Visit the Watershed on Wheels and experience plants and animals from habitats found in the Connecticut River.
- Design Your Own Animal Hand Puppet, 11 am-3 pm
- Family Science Adventures, 11 am-2 pm
- Make a Chinese Dragon Puppet in the Art Discovery Center, Noon-3:45 pm
- Seymour Planetarium, 11:15, noon, 1 & 2 pm (additional fee)
