Introduction to the Tropical Rainforest

Where are the tropical rainforest, what are these regions like and why are they so important? Our introductory presentation answers these questions and more as we explore the location, structure, and function of these critically important regions. Participants will also become familiar the great Amazon Rainforest. Covering an area of over 1.5 million square miles this remarkable rainforest is home to one third of all of the species on earth! Our colorful slide show showcases a fascinating variety of species which inhabit the various layers of this lush and productive eco-region.
