Coast to Coast in 48 Hours! Lindbergh's Dream
Anne Barrett, A Brief History! Historical lectures
In July of 1929, Charles Lindbergh’s dream of speedy coast-to-coast travel culminated in the Transcontinental Air Transport company’s 48-hour air and rail passenger service. Amid much fanfare, the inaugural excursion left New York with Anne’s Great Aunt Grace as one of a few select passengers, along with celebrities like Amelia Earhart. Learn about this little-known but very important venture as you hear firsthand accounts from Grace’s journal and experience the exciting new era of air travel.
