SPECIAL EXHIBITION
GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World
Experience the science and history of this enduring icon, featuring 60 rare and antique instruments; the world’s largest playable guitar (43 feet!); hands-on interactives; performance video and audio; touch screens, photographs and more. ($3 special exhibition fee for all visitors ages 3 and up in addition to museum admission)
LIVE PERFORMANCE
Mister G, 1 pm
An award-winning musician, Mister G has been playing the guitar and writing songs since he was 9 years old.At this concert, he’ll perform songs from his three children’s CDs of all original music, and tell stories about how the guitar has shaped his career as a musician over the past few decades. With songs ranging from rock to ska, bluegrass to bossa nova, Mister G will illustrate the remarkable versatility of the guitar. Seating is limited.
ONGOING ACTIVITIES

Family Science Adventures, 11 am-2 pm
Look for the Science Museum’s Roving Scientist. You never know where they might be and what kind of demonstration is in store.
Hasbro Games Art Discovery Center, Noon-3:45 pm
Decorate a custom guitar pick. Plus try on costumes, make an art project, and get inspired by colorful, handpainted murals.
