Inspirations: Stories about Women Artists
Leslie Sills, artist, author, and art educator
Come be inspired by a close-up introduction to well-known artists: Mary Cassatt, Georgia O’Keffee, Alice Neel, Frida Kahlo, Faith Ringgold, and Mary Frank. Leslie Sills, artist and author of three award winning art books on women artists (Inspirations, Visions, and In Real Life), will show slides and discuss the art and lives of these remarkable women, three of whom she met and two whom she interviewed for her books. In a relaxed atmosphere, you will be able to ask the questions you’ve always have had and keep the conversation going about women and creativity.
