Bringing E Home: Transatlantic Voyage of Schooner Ernestina 1982
Stephan J. W. Platzer, Ph.D.
Local author Stephen J.W. Platzer tells the story of an international crew united by a common love for a historic vessel to overcome obstacles of language, culture, calms, and squalls to bring the schooner Ernestina back to Massachusetts, where she was originally built in 1894. The boat is now recognized as a National Historic Landmark, and owned by the people of the Commonwealth.
The book will be available for sale after the presentation. All proceeds go toward funding the Ernestina.
