Wild about Weather – Keith Michael Johnson explores why our weather happens and how it works.  Air cannons, tornado generators, hot air balloons, soap bubbles, and other enlightening experiments are used to investigate the awesome forces of nature. 

 

Ongoing Activities

10 am-5 pm | Science Museum

Embark on a mission to outer space in the special exhibit Black Holes: Space Warps & Time Twists. $3 special exhibit fee for all visitors ages 3 and up. Learn more.

Family Science Adventures - Investigate our solar system, examine animal characteristics and discover other engaging science activities designed for families to explore together!

 

11 am-3:45 pm | D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts & Museum of Springfield History

Go on scavenger hunts in the museum galleries.

Make-it-and-take-it art projects.

Try on costumes and armor, play gallery games and enjoy hands-on art projects in the Art Discovery Center.

Pan for gem stones and fossils. Additional fee.
