Admission to the Springfield Museums and the special exhibit Grossology will be free to everyone on Friday, September 4, thanks to a generous grant from the Highland Street Foundation. To recognize their 20th anniversary, the foundation, located in Framingham, Mass., is sponsoring Free Fun Fridays, inviting Massachusetts residents and tourists to visit a designated museum or attraction for free on ten Fridays this summer. We're proud to be the only museum in Western Massachusetts to be awarded this grant.
Since its establishment in 1989, the McGrath Family and the Highland Street Foundation have donated more than $103 million to many worthy non-profit organizations including $80 million to groups in Massachusetts alone.
